The Ibercaja Foundation Center in La Rioja has included a thousand places for 70 courses and workshops in its program for the 2023-24 academic year, with new additions such as body-rolling, pilates for pregnant women, photography courses, and public speaking. The institution has defended the wide range of activities, courses, and events for all ages, focusing on education, culture, and science by organizing various national and international congresses. Other novelties include courses on art in motion, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), artistic ceramics and furniture decoration.
The workshops that begin this month of September, and will extend throughout the autumn, will continue to offer traditional courses in gymnastics, art, personal development, humanities, languages, gastronomy, and proposals for students such as theater workshops, ceramics, and chiquirritmo.
The Ibercaja Center in Logroño has highlighted that one of its main lines of work is education, which will have great prominence in the last four months of the year, when different free training courses on commerce and languages will be offered, targeting the unemployed, women, people with disabilities, those over 45 years old, individuals under 30 and those with low qualifications.
A total of 70 courses and workshops with more than 1,000 places will be offered at the Calle Portales, 48 facilities, and registration can be done through the entity’s website starting this Wednesday.
This autumn, the auditorium will host a varied and high-quality cultural program, with new proposals focused on literature, history, sports, music, and current affairs. It will once again feature renowned national writers; ‘The Military Mondays’, on history and military culture in collaboration with the Defense Delegation in La Rioja; the 45th Mountain Sports Dissemination Conference “dedicated this year to women mountaineers”; the 19th Season of Opera on DVD and ‘La Bitácora XXI’, among others.
In addition, it will be the meeting point for different scientists and researchers by hosting several national and international congresses, such as the 13th International Seminar on the Genome of the Red Spider; the 6th HDH Congress: Digital Humanities as a transdisciplinary proposal; and the 3rd edition of the National Cooking Contest for the Blind, with the Rioja chef Ángel Palacios.
