Truex slid sideways across the finish line and promptly declared Logano won't take his title from him this year.

Busch has combined with Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex dominate most of this season, and all three are trying to earn one of the four slots at the Homestead-Miami Speedway finale.

Logano was showered in boos and Truex, standing on pit road next to his third-place vehicle, jeered the victor with both thumbs down as Logano was interviewed over the address system.

"He's a racer and should know better than to say that", Logano's Team Owner Roger Penske said in reference to Truex's cheap shot comments to the media following the race.

Trace McSorley returns from knee injury, sprints for TD
Penn State tallied 417 total yards in Week 8 versus in and enter this game ranked No. 15 in the country in total offense. Outside of McSorley's 51-yard rushing touchdown, Penn State's rushing attack was limited to just 67 yards on 34 carries.

"He may have won the battle but he didn't win the damn war", Truex explained to NBC Sports after the race. It wasn't any old win, either; it qualified Logano for NASCAR's championship-deciding race at the end of the season.

With 12 to go in the stage, Hamlin got around Kyle Busch and into the runner-up position behind Logano.

Logano seemed to be aware that the way he won was unpopular, but his eyes were on the bigger prize.

"I'm not so sure that you can just advance on points even in our situation", Kyle Busch said Saturday before earning the pole position for Sunday's race with a 96.254-mph lap.

Federer ready to play Paris for first time since 2015
Milos Raonic also withdrew from the tournament, citing a right elbow injury, which handed Roger Federer a walkover to the last 16. Defending champion Jack Sock of the United States and fourth-seeded Alexander Zverev reached round three in straight sets.

Joey Logano has edged Denny Hamlin at the finish line to claim the second stage of NASCAR's playoff race at Martinsville Speedway. "Some may not like it".

Logano led 309 of the 500 laps Sunday in the opening race of the third round of the playoffs. The racing was clean and Truex was an on-track gentleman, a sportsman worthy to be called champion, in taking the lead from Logano. They raced side-by-side, door-to-door, round-and-round the Virginia paperclip until Truex finally got the lead with one lap remaining.

Truex was not happy with Logano's move, and gave him a big bump on the cool-down lap. We're were going to race hard for it in my book. "I cleared him, fair and square...he just drove into the back of me and knocked me out of the way". But again, I never touched him to pass him so I thought I would get the same courtesy once I passed him. He just drove into the back of me and knocked me out of the way. Everybody said we were out, said we couldn't run good at Martinsville, said we don't run good at short tracks, said our team shut down so we can't make it to the Championship 4. "But what goes around comes around". "I hope he's proud of himself". The deal with Ally covers all 38 races a season - a huge financial commitment in present-day NASCAR.

Lowe's has sponsored Johnson since his 2001 debut but is leaving NASCAR at the end of the season.
