Following her comments defending blackface earlier this week, NBC's Megyn Kelly has stepped away from her morning show and may not return, some sources say.

Kelly's show even attracted a smaller audience than the cheaper hour of "Today" that preceded her arrival.

Kelly is reportedly already on her way out. There was plenty of hype around "Megyn Kelly Today" when it debuted in September 2017. But NBC News chairman Andy Lack condemned Kelly's comments during a previously scheduled town hall event for his news division staff on Wednesday. "When she made that comment about it not being in her current marriage it irritated me a bit because it seemed like she was suggesting it was me".

She said Australia was working closely with its allies and partners, but was awaiting the outcomes of the Saudi investigation. Calling Khashoggi "the victim of a savage murder", Erdogan said that ignoring the murder would "hurt the human conscience ".

Sources told ET last January that Kelly's decision to leave Fox News after 12 years was one based on her wanting to spend more time with her family as opposed to her salary.

She also fired her talent agency CAA, citing conflicts of interest, and signed with UTA before being dropped nearly immediately by that firm as well, according to reports. According to the publications, NBC network execs "think it might be ideal time to give her Today time slot to Kelly, who has a huge fan base and is extremely well-liked and relatable", a source told Radar. Suddenly she was off the air, perhaps voluntarily; her staff was allegedly in an uproar about the "toxic environment" on set; she parted ways with her agent; and then the cast of "House of Cards", which was led previous year by yet another longtime #MeToo malefactor, wouldn't appear on her show.

He said that the national space Council referred the recommendations to the President . The US President promised to return the United States to the moon and to reach Mars.

"What is racist?" she asked, pointing out how white people who put on blackface and how black people who put on whiteface "get in trouble". "Back when I was a kid, that was OK as long as you were dressed up as like a character", Kelly said on Tuesday.

Before Brunt won her over, Kelly was married to Dr. Dan Kendall from 2001 to 2006.

Yet NBC's "Nightly News" and the "Today" show did stories on their colleague's comment. I texted her at the time and she apologized", he said, before adding, "I think I was a good husband. "The history of blackface in our culture is abhorrent; the wounds too deep". On the subject of the "costume police" injecting political correctness on Halloween, Kelly discussed blackface with an all-white panel, and her comments got her in hot water. "Well, I was wrong and I am sorry".
