Virat Kohli was trapped in an almighty mix-up as the Indian captain's blunder led to Cheteshwar Pujara being run out as India were skittled for 107 by England on day two of the second test at Lord's on Friday (Saturday NZ time).

England captain Joe Root confirmed on Wednesday that Ollie Pope, a 20-year-old Surrey batsman, would make his Test debut in place of the dropped Dawid Malan.

When play resumed, seamer Chris Woakes, brought in to replace Ben Stokes, who is at a court hearing in Bristol, got the prize wicket of India skipper Virat Kohli for 23 leaving the tourists, who trail 1-0 in the series, at 49 for four.

But it was new-ball partner Mohammed Shami who struck first when, from around the wicket, he had Keaton Jennings, aiming across the line, lbw for 11.

Empuja a su amiga desde un puente y casi la mata
Pero las risas y los chistes se acabaron cuando a una de las chicas se le ocurrió tirar a una amiga desde una altura de 20 metros. Es adulta, y estoy segura de que debería haberlo sabido.

That meant Anderson got his name on the Lord's honours board yet again, thanks to a sixth haul of five wickets or more in a Test innings at the "home of cricket".

But England, so often susceptible to collapses, kicked on as Bairstow and Woakes began to look comfortable on a pitch offering far less assistance to the bowlers than on day two.

On Friday, during the rain-affected day two of the second Test, Arjun, who is now in London for a training session with MCC Young Cricketers, helped out the grand staff at Lord's.

"I would be so disappointed if I had messed up today because they were ideal conditions to bowl in".

Jose Mourinho: Man Utd boss 'not confident' of deadline day signing
Mourinho warned last weekend that a "difficult season" could lie ahead if they failed to strengthen the squad before the deadline. United's all-time leading goalscorer told Sky Sports: "I think it will be hard after the season they had a year ago ".

After a delay of more than two hours, the players returned for 12 balls, during which Kohli and Pujara groped around trying to find the ball as Anderson and Stuart Broad terrorised them under leaden skies.

"We exploit those conditions as well as anyone in the world". "When you build pressure all day no matter who you are it is hard", he said.

India, who lost the first Test at Edgbaston by 31 runs, face a huge task to save the match but could have weather on their side with rain predicted to hit London on Sunday.

Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav was brought in for seamer Umesh Yadav, joining Ashwin in the slow bowling department.
